All Stars Project Honors Viacom at April 13 National Gala Benefit at New York Citys Lincoln Center

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 17, 2015

The All Stars Project (ASP), Americas leader in afterschool development, honored Viacom for its support of All Stars innovative youth development programs at ASPs national gala at Lincoln Center on Monday, April 13th. The annual event, this year themed Development Country: Americas Business Support Americas Youth, raised $ 2 million in private funding for ASP programs across the country.

The global media giant has partnered with ASP for the companys annual day of volunteerism, Viacommunity Day, as well as volunteer programs with ASPs Development School for Youth inner-city youth leadership program. Most recently, All Stars Board Member and MTV EVP of Music & Talent Amy Doyle, who accepted the award on Viacoms behalf, spearheaded a new media project to create promotional videos about the All Stars Talent Show Network. The videos premiered at the April 13th gala and were created with Diane Mayer, CEO, Mayer 360/Mayer Entertainment, and independent film director Joseph Keller.

Every event I attend, every workshop I lead, I am so impressed by the kids by their poise, their passion, and how hard they work at taking advantage of every opportunity All Stars offers, said Ms. Doyle. They inspire me, and I personally get so much out of every interaction. I truly believe that the entertainment and music industries need to continue to step up and partner with the programs performance is in our DNA, just like All Stars, so its a perfect fit.

Viacom has been a leading financial sponsor of All Stars programs and recently committed $ 100,000 for current programs and expansion initiatives, including the growth of the Development School for Youth.

About the All Stars Project (ASP): ASP is a 34-year-old national nonprofit that transforms the lives of youth and poor communities through the developmental power of performance in partnership with caring adults.
